Is FAX a real bank? +
FAX is a licensed neobank. Your fiat deposits are held with our banking partner and are FDIC-insured up to the applicable limit. Crypto assets are held in segregated, audited cold storage.
What countries are supported at launch? +
FAX will launch in the United States, United Kingdom, and Canada. EU and LATAM regions are planned for Q1 2026. If you're outside these regions, join the waitlist and we'll notify you when your country is supported.
What are the fees? +
There are no monthly account fees. Crypto swaps are 0.5% per transaction, shown upfront before you confirm. FX conversions are 0.8%. Deposits and withdrawals to your linked bank account are free.
How is FAX different from Coinbase or Revolut? +
Coinbase is a crypto exchange, not a bank. Revolut has crypto, but it's bolted on. FAX was built from the ground up as a unified platform — crypto and fiat are first-class citizens with equal depth of features and the same clean experience.
Do I need to know about crypto to use FAX? +
No. FAX is designed so that crypto expertise is optional, not required. You can use FAX purely as a neobank with great FX rates, and explore crypto at whatever pace feels right. Nothing is forced.
When does FAX launch? +
